Gehrig Participating In Training Camp With Kansas City Wizards
After a successful career at Loyola University Chicago, former Rambler soccer player Eric Gehrig (Schererville, Ind.) has been invited to train with the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer at their preseason camp in Phoenix, Ariz. Gehrig departed for Phoenix with the team on Monday (Feb. 1).

Seven Loyola University Chicago student-athletes earned Academic All-Horizon League honors in their respective sports, the League office announced today (Dec. 17). The seven honorees give Loyola the second-highest total among League schools behind Butler's 11.

Erik Warren and Eric Gehrig scored six minutes apart to lift Loyola University Chicago (4-7-4, 1-4-2 Horizon) to a 2-0 victory over host Detroit (3-12-1, 1-6-0 Horizon) this afternoon at rainy and windy Titan Field. Martin Named First Team Academic All-District V
Loyola University Chicago junior Will Martin has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Men's Soccer First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday (Oct. 29). To be eligible, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve, have reached sophomore standing both academically and athletically at their current institution and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
Loyola Visits Detroit For Halloween Showdown
The Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team heads east for a Halloween showdown with Horizon League rival Detroit this Saturday (Oct. 31) at 11 a.m. CT. The Ramblers lost two close matches, to No. 17 Northwestern (1-0) and UIC (2-1). LU gave up the lone goal to the Wildcats in the 83rd minute, while the Flames scored the game-winner in double overtime to defeat the Ramblers.
