Nathan Feltz and Terah Cheatham Named Institutional Scholar-Athlete Award Winners
Men's soccer student-athlete Nathan Feltz and track and field's Terah Cheatham were selected as the Institutional 2009-10 BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners for DePaul University. The selections were made by the Conference's Academic Affairs Committee. The league selects one male and one female winner from each institution and is awarded a post-graduate scholarship.
Four Blue Demons Chosen for Soccer Academic Honor
The DePaul men's soccer program has four more reasons to celebrate the 2009 season. Using their heads on the field as well as in the classroom, Nathan Feltz, Peter Sterbenz, Alex Mangan and Scott Freundlich were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Scholar Team for the North/Central Region.
Men's Soccer Announces Date for Futsal Training Session
DePaul men's soccer coach Craig Blazer and his staff will be holding their annual Futsal Training Session at the Sullivan Athletic Center on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus. The one-day clinic is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 14 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Hopkins, Vroom Pursue Dream of Pro Soccer
Patrick Hopkins and Steffen Vroom are ready for the next step in their soccer careers. The Blue Demon seniors were in Cary, N.C. on Tuesday at an invitation-only, three-day tryout with the Carolina RailHawks of the newly formed North American Soccer League.
Vroom Lands Another Soccer Award
The awards just keep on coming for DePaul's standout soccer forward Steffen Vroom. The senior from Libertyville was named to the All-Great Lakes Region second team on Monday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
